Leafs out in the early spring as a darker purple red with chartreuse variegation. The purple red color fades to a mauve red, then to a green in full sun during the summer, then turns to bright orange to red in the autumn. 'Manyo no sato' means "The Village of a 1,000 Leafs". Slow-moderate growing.
