One of the oldest palmatum red dwarf maples, derived from a witches’ broom of atropurpureum. The leaves emerge in the spring bright purple-red and then deepen to a blood red in the Summer. Later in the season the leaves fade to a rusty green color. Brandt’s dwarf habit is a dense rounded shrub,fall color is bright scarlet red. Slow growing
