From late spring through early fall it produces copious wand-like clusters of magenta color flowers which are some of the tallest we've seen on any butterfly bush. The flowers stand out nicely against the elongated, arrow-shaped, greyish blue-green leaves. The flowers are a favorite of butterflies. The hummingbirds and other pollinators will love them too, but the deer and rabbits don't. Its narrow habit makes this floriferous beauty ideal for use as an accent in smaller gardens spaces and containers.
